Situated amid the beautiful landscape of the North-West, Irelands biggest sanctuary for birds of prey and owls offers you incomparable impressions of majestic raptors soaring over one of the most lovely locations to be found.

Experience some of the biggest birds of prey in the world in their natural environment. Watch different species of eagles hunting on prey-dummies. Be astonished about the arrowlike flight of the falcons and the high intelligence of the vultures.
During the Free-Flying Displays specialists will inform you about the biology of the raptors and their important role in nature.

To inform you about these birds also means safeguarding these endangered species for future generations because you will know better how to do your share in protecting our nature.

The Irish Raptor Research Centre is a scientifically managed institution specialising in Birds of Prey.
We also serve as a hospital for injured specimens of birds and other wildlife brought to us.
We are working closely together with other Zoological Gardens breeding endangered species for release-programmes.
